A lot of the larger grocery store chains carry a larger selection of hot sauces ans such than they did in the past too.Excellent thread.

For me, it's about flavor as much as heat. Hot just for the sake of being hot, isn't good to me.
My scratch red sauce is pretty much what I use when making my chili. I just reconstituted some dried chilies and add it in.Next you smoke anything.... use a hot sauce as a binder. It's a absolute game changer.... fyi

The ONLY way to pick a real preference is to taste them STRAIGHT.
Otherwise, it's like pouring your Maker's Mark into CocaCola. . . . . .
