Fingerprint Sharing Led To Deportation Of 47,000

The DHS is sort of doing its job but more could be done. But then there are the "immigrant rights" groups that are saying that the deportations included some non-criminals.

Immigration advocates say that the government instead spends too much time on lower-level criminals or non-criminals.

Non-criminals? Excuse me but what part of illegal alien do these people NOT understand? They have violated United States immigration laws which makes them all criminals. They are splitting hairs with the 3-level categories of crimes. It doesn't really make a difference as to what "level" the crime is, it's STILL a crime.

"ICE has pulled a bait and switch, with local law enforcement spending more time and resources facilitating the deportations of bus boys and gardeners than murderers and rapists and at considerable cost to local community policing strategies, making us all less safe," said Peter Markowitz, director of the Immigration Justice Clinic at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York.

Those bus boys and gardeners are also criminals. Sure they're not murderers or rapists but they are still illegal aliens, making them criminals.

I think they mean non-criminals as in people who are in jail for crimes like... marijuana possession.
