    Red River Area OK
    the national weather service in norman has issued a red flag warning...which is in effect from noon today to 9 pm cdt this evening. The fire weather watch is no longer in effect. * wind...south to southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph. * humidity...10 to 20 percent. * temperature...80 to 85 degrees. * impacts...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

    a few years ago - i was driving back from OKC and came thru the Arbuckles as it was smoldering - one of the biggest grass fires I've ever seen...seems I-35 catches hell this time of the year - i'm sure from cigarettes being flicked out the window
