FN SCAR 16s SBR build. Thoughts?

The FN SCAR for me has to be the most reliable and durable platform is shot next to the AK. I’ve had this build for about two years already and haven’t had the need for anything else as a duty rifle. What are your initial impressions on a gun of this status?

The SCAR is a great gun as is its grand-daddy the FAL

For the money however I'd probably go for a BREN2 vs the SCAR16 if I wasn't going for 7.62NATO

Its cool especially when you put a suppressor on it and it voids your warranty, or the stock plate starts to crack because it's made of polymer, but if you replace it with a metal one it will increase the wear on the gun because some genius decided the stock plate should also act as a recoil buffer, or how it took them 20 years to make a non reciprocating charging handle for it.


They do look cool though.

Had a 16s for a couple years, it’s made cheap and sold for top dollar. Which is why it failed to replace the M4. Sold mine and made money because everyone wanted one. I wish I had grabbed an ACR instead of the SCAR, it’s at least comfortable to grip out of the box and doesn’t beat itself to death.
