    Reason #743 I carry a Glock.

Seriously though, I've used Rig Grease on rust prone items. I've heard Barricade works well, too.

    Good luck!

If you carry spare blued steel mags, be sure to lay them out every night to dry.

Keep well oiled with WD-40, RemOil, or Ballistol.

Be sure to dump the rounds and wipe the inside of the mag body too.

The ammo should be good to go after a thorough wiping with a clean cloth. Do not oil your ammo.

Hey Sterling try turtle wax or other paste car wax. Make sure to get the rust off then wax on wax off. It works better to prevent rust than any "rust preventer" I have ever used.

I would only use CMC, Tripp Research Cobra mags, and the Wilson's can work as well, though the Wilson's seem to wear out a little faster than the others and possibly need maintenance a little sooner. You can get all those in stainless or other corrosion free metals/finishes.

How are you carrying the magazines? In a pocket, or on a belt? Leather, kydex or nylon? Leather holds water and salt pretty well. Sweat seems to go around nylon for me.
