If anyone thinks that interview was disrespectful to the POTUS they either didn't watch it or their mind is as warped as the Obamination.

Well I read all the post before watching the video. I guess everyone is intitled to there opinions (opinions are like a$$holes everyone has one) I also saw this on the news last night--I personally didn't see anything disrepectful with the interview, heard some direct questions which is okay with me. I just think politicians and lawyers are all the same--if there mouth is moving they are lieing.

He's the President. He doesn't need to be subjected to that by a nobody. It sets a bad precident.

Lets say what everyone around here really wants to say..no one respects him because he is Black. If someone had done this to Bush people would be calling for his head end of story...

Speak for yourself, my friend. I don't care if he's green - there's simply way too many questions w/regards to a LOT of things with him - starting with what made him qualified to be POTUS. When members of the press ask the tough questions, that's what they are SUPPOSED to do.
It seems to me that you have issues with his race - but are trying to lay it at the feet of others. Are you objecting because he's being asked the same questions other presidents (such as Bush) have been asked, but think that because he's black he's somehow supposed to get a free pass?

I don't care if the guy is black, white or other, the simple fact is that if this reporter would have done the same thing to any White President his head would be called for. If he did it to any Republican President his head would have been called for. There is a double standard regardless of if anyone will admit to it or not.

I don't have a problem in the least with tough questions, what I do have a problem with is the reporters attitude, and his general lack of respect for Obama. Agree with Obama or not, he is the President and should not be interrupted when he is answering a question that a reporter asks him. He HAS to be very calculated in what he says because its being looked at under a magnifying glass, not just by his opposition, but by the entire world. Bush never cared because he fired from the hip and said whatever he wanted.

For anyone not from TX, or not a Republican or someone against Obama this reporter just looks like an A$$ plain and simple...

Sorry - you don't understand what a REPORTER really is. I was trained as a journalist by the US military, and did some as a civilian as well. The reporter kept the interview on track rather than allow the interviewee to redirect/sidetrack it, and when something was misrepresented, he called him on it. That's the way it's SUPPOSED to work.
I can remember more than once that reporters disrepected Bush - included the National Media. Don't recall you saying anything about it.....is that because he's white, you're a democrat, or a yankee?

    Just sayin'.....

More like rude and uncalled for. Hope he loses his job.
yeah its a shame anyone holds O-BASTARD to any tough questions!! and sure sounds like more LIB-SH-T mentality to want said reporter fired for doing it!! and if so called "Rude and Uncalled for" journalistic actions are the prerequisite for being fired, then all those clowns on MSNBS, CNN, NBC, the Rachael Maddcow show, and Chris Mathews would ALL HAVE BEEN FIRED ALREADY!!!

Look Brad Watson did nothing wrong, he asked direct questions to Obama concerning he and his administration's treatment of and opinions about Texas, and thats exactly what we want our media to do, it's what the media has done to every president going back to Washington, this is absolutely nothing new, the press is supposed to be there to help connect us with our lawmakers, and sometimes that means not kissing someone's ass and asking a direct question.

No president, and I mean no President deserves to live in a protective bubble and be tip toed around just because he's the president, in fact quite the contrary, as president he has volunteered to put himself (just as all previous presidents have) in a position to where he should expect and in fact demand that people of the media and the general public question him and his decisions. He has put himself in the position of making decisions on our behalf and should expect us to judge and question all his decisions and even statements, this is something we should expect from every president no matter what color, creed, religion, or party.

Screw Obama. I dont care if he is porcelain white he is still a socialist bastard. I saw nothing wrong with that interview whatsoever. What just because he is the president he cant be asked some questions? Ive had tougher questions than that in job interviews.

POTUS or not, sometimes people are not worthy of respect. If Charlie Manson were elected POTUS I would not automatically give him respect just because he is the President. Honestly, I pretty much call Obama "fuckface" or "shithead" every time I see his picture or read about him. I can only imagine how many watch lists that puts me on now just saying that, but as long as 1st Amendment rights exist I'll still speak my mind.

Okay, back um on down pilgrim. I watched that interview 5 times and I saw no disrespect towards Obama. He (Obama) made an incorrect statement of fact... i.e. that it was only a few percentage points loss in Texas, and he was corrected with THE FACT that it was more like 11%. OMG, what disrespect... the same idiot that thinks there's 57 states, misquotes a loss by some 10% and it's the interview's fault for correcting it.

I understand there should be respect for the office, but that does not give the holder of the office a free ride to say what ever TF he wants to, and no one should challenge him.

Did anybody else notice him choking on a lie in there? Let's see who can tell me which answer it was.

Sorry, dude. That card has been so over-played that it's not going to get you anywhere. We've all figured out that "you're racist" really means "shut up and stop saying things that harm my agenda".

That you brought race and party into this says a lot about you.

All it really says is that I understand that there is a double standard in this country and that there are a lot of people who won't admit that they don't respect Obama because he is not white, end of discussion. I voted for the guy, I would have voted for anything opposite of what we were offered from the Republican party last time. Anyone dumb enough to offer up Sarah Palin's work of majesty clearly was as delusional as Obama was about what what he could accomplish in his first term. Do I agree with everything that he has done while in office? Nope, will I vote for him again? Don't know. But do I respect the man and the position. I respected Bush just as much even though I despised what he did while in office, and as more and more comes out about things that he did I lose that respect I had for him.

You "guys" and when I say that I mean ultra loyal Texans and Republicans are not shy about your disdain, and I get it, if I was in your camp I would certainly do that. The one thing that does not go on in this forum in the slightest is a realistic argument or comment about anything political. I'm sorry, but from an outsiders position it is clear to see how things operate down here, and having any sort if differing opinion is "not allowed". So I have said my peace, and where I feel necessary will continue to do so, but I have no visions that anyone will listen openly, or comment honestly. At least in most other places I frequent or post online there is some semblance of objectivity.
