Wow, there is just no way in hell i could spend $1,900 on a KIMBER...IMO kimbers don't and can't command that kind of price. They are 800-1200 guns IMO. Granted i have not seen this one in person, so it may be heads and shoulders above the rest of em' but ive never found a kimber clean enough and tight enough to see that much money.

This is supposed to be Kimber's top of the line. The one I saw at the pawn shop was tight - no looseness or slop of any kind. Checkering was crisp.

IMO Able's is pretty over priced on everything. There shop is right down the street from me, and I have yet to see a good deal on anything from them.

Shot a bunch of Dcortez's Kimbers, they are nice, shoot great, but for ME the pricetag is crazy.

This is not your average Kimber, this is by all intensive purposes a custom built gun. They have about a 3# crisp trigger and excellent slide to frame fit. They are nothing like the factory Kimbers you see for $700 - 1100.

They are not worth the new price tag, but a low count Super Match is worth $1200 all day.

Comparable guns would be the Les Baer, STI, etc.

And thats totally fine and cool. I was speaking for myself, i could not spend more than that on a KIMBER. For that price tag, call me a gun snob but the gun is going to have a name behind it that mean's something.

Kimbers are the Glocks of 1911's Trendy and people know that name without knowing 1911's

    Once again, my opinion.
