We found a good deal on some wheat berries and I got my wife an electric Nutrimill grinder. 12 cups of flower in 5 min of grinding. we also have a cheep hand grinder if the power goes out.

    And the house smells AMAZING.

Ditch your Kitchenaid blenders and get a BOSCH. We can do four loaves of bread in this blender no sweat without needing to kneed the bread as it does it for us.

Amazing man! I envy your level of preparedness and thinking ahead. My girlfriend fights me on anything remotely "prepper" related, but I bet she would love to start cooking her own wheat bread. We are both big fans.

That sounds like a lot less time and a lot less work than I would have guessed. What model Bosch are you using? How long does a loaf last before it starts to mold?

Family of 6, I've never seen the home made bread last more than a few days.
Bosch Universal Plus 6 Qt Mixer With 800W Motor

Bosch Universal Mixer - 6 Quart

This is how we do it. Skip to 4 min mark to see the bread making. He's using an older model.

    3 C hot tap water
    1/3 C oil
    1/3 C honey
    1 T yeast
    1 T gluten*
    1 T dough enhancer*
    2-3 C flour

*I consider it optional, but it maybe why less yeast is used in my recipe.

    mix well then add
    1 T salt
3-5 C more flour, until it has the right consistency.

    Knead 5 minutes in Bosch.

Shape into loaves & let rise til double. Bake 350 for 30-40 min.
