    Hi everybody,

As a gunsmith in Geneva (Switzerland), I register on this forum in order to participate occasionally with a spirit of sharing. Shooting at 1,000m and above, I also have some background in the use of handguns in what is now very politely called dynamic shooting, which I learned when we were not afraid to talk about combat shooting or survival. Times are changing. In my opinion, especially in the increasingly restrictive legal framework that we are experiencing, shooting must be and remain above all a pleasant activity and in no case a testosterone contest. If you know, you share, if you don't know, you learn, including me! Many scientific aspects are related to shooting, whether pyrotechnic, mechanical, dynamic, optical or weather, and that's what I like the most.

    Best regards

    Welcome.

    . On my bucket list

It was on my bucket list, too, until I found out (as noted in the video) that it's rifles only, prone only. That would be a perfect range to properly shoot the right pistols from any of several positions. Any place it's safe to shoot a rifle from the prone position is safe for me to shoot my Wichita pistol from the dead frog position. If the club rules say otherwise, then the club safety rules are too tightly bound by an unimaginative bureaucracy.

I'm sure there are pistol silhouette shooters in Switzerland who understand. I wonder where they shoot?

Please post pics of your Stg57.

    Hello,

STG57 is in german and in french we say FASS57 means Assault Rifle 57.

I just sold mine but I found those pictures that are probably the most interresting about the bolt. Look at the top black piece it is the same piece for extracting and ejecting the brass.

And for the fire pin, look at the dissassembly the hammer hits the L part on le left of the picture.

    Crazy mechanism
