Anyone going to go to the Ft Worth gun show this weekend? I usually dont go, but I need to go so I can get a holster from Shepherd Leather for my XDS 45. And the wife wants a new holster for her G26, geez we will be there forever!

Me and dad might be going, depends on if I can talk him into it and if I can remember the damn location. If we do end up going, part of me is hoping I get lucky and manage to score deals on a few things I've been looking for (mostly holsters and other bits of kit).

    I'm debating it.

Have the crowds thinned out a little yet?

I haven't been to a gun show in a year or so. I fought through the madness in 08. When I was the writing on the wall about this time last year I started stocking up while the steeple went about their daily lives.

There's not really much of anything I need per say, but I may go just for the entertainment value. :)

Just came back from the gun, absolute bummer

    1. Thin crowd
    2. guns selling but not that much
    3. Lots of over priced ammo
    4. Soiled ammo boxes said a lot of story, looked like its been sitting there for months without selling.
    5. Handgun ammo = $1/rnd mostly
    6. Rifle ammo = $2/rnd average, not even worth looking at.

Good new, handguns and some long guns are back to normal (M&P 15-22 $450)
Bad news, old farts behind the counter still think OBUMMER is gonna re-elected again

WTF? A dollar a round for pistol ammo? Two bucks for rifle rounds? YGTBSM! It never got anywhere near that here, at most .223/5.56 is running close to a buck a round, and common handgun rounds never even got to that unless you are one of the panic buyers.

    Unbelievable.

Please don't buy that overprice crap. If nobody buy's they'll figure it out.

Nope. Doubt he was kidding. That's been the norm for the FTW show since late December. Last time I went (in march or April I think) there were even reloads for 300 AAC at near $3 a round.

    Ditto,
I went there to buy some 300 BLK ammo, but was seriously disappointed today. I remember last time I saw couple of reloaders there.

He is not kidding. It was ridiculous. I went to get my holster from the Shepherd Leather table, but walked around for a while just to look. My wife kept looking at the people selling the ammo and asking them if they were "freaking serious?" Lol. Good thing.....I noticed other people walking by the same tables and shaking their heads as they kept walking.
