I’m pretty critical of my own cooking. The wife will tell you she backed off trying to cook when it went straight to the dog.

Sometimes I really wish my mom had learned to cook. Dad tried to teach her, to no avail.

I got an ass beating twice for everything I did wrong; mom did it when I acted up and then dad did when he got back to town.
