My wife did something related. Early days, just out of the Navy, living paycheck to paycheck - barely. She remembers "mock filets" - hamburger patties wrapped in bacon. So she makes mock steak fingers - no bacon in the house, just rolls of hamburger meat fried up, about 4 inches long. So I'm closing the shop, usually home by around 2:30 AM. Hungry, I open the fridge and there are 3-4 logs of cold, greasy mock steak fingers on a plate. Right quick I lost my appetite!
