OK, that is arguably a valid point. Ultimately, I think it fails because everything that is Hillary is also political. Things will be that way until the day she dies and beyond. Thus, I think your post should have gone in the other thread.

However, it has sparked a decent conversation that highlights the edge cases regarding posting policy for this thread. I'm leaving it up for that reason alone.

Some other mod may move it and, going forward, I'm likely to reflexively delete anything with a picture of Hillary from this thread.

Ben usually makes well thought out, good decisions. That thread is an outlier.

You think I made a bad decision? I disagree. However, I will point out that I posted my rationale in some detail. Moderators don't need to do that; it usually creates more problems than it solves. I did it because I knew that the call I was making was contestable with intellectually honest arguments made by folks of good faith.

So I think I'll stand by it. I'll also stand by your proclamation that I was wrong based on the priorities you've identified. Those two sentences aren't mutually exclusive.

Finally - Thanks to the last few posters for keeping me on my toes. I always need people who make me think.
