    Out here by the lake!
    RSA is hardly a good representation of all of Africa. The puff adder was what I was warned about the most while hunting there. I was tol if you get bit go find som shade & die!

    Had a very close call one night while in a blind watching a bait. I kept hearing something but kept my mouth shut hoping not to spook anything away from the bait. My hunting buddy thought I was messing with his boot with a stick. When he turned on the IR illuminator on the pvs14 he seen a viper head. He & the P.H. bailed out of the blind on the one count. By th 3 count I had emptied a double barrel shot gun in it.

    I had shot a really long cobra hoping for some belts out of it. Not enough salt on the skin & it rotted was what I was told.
