    Better have time for the concrete to cure. My Nephew tried that and the first heavy rain washed it all down stream. Concrete bags were fairly new and no footing was poured.

    It’s a very common method of keeping culverts from getting washed out and dirt from washing in for rural areas. Have never hear of the bags being washed away, must have been one hell of a rain.

    The bags never really set clear through, especially if they don't get a really good first wetting, and the only interlock they have is irregularites in shape. It's easy, better than piled rocks, but it ain't reinforced concrete...

    Used this method to build a small dam in a creek to create a pond. Laid the bags down then drove rebar through the bags into the ground. Been 18 years and that little dam is still there.
