Ya got lucky...

Get hit by one and you'll never pick one up again.

In the surf, I got hit by one on the thigh and it felt like I was hit by a baseball bat in the nuts.

Second time a year or so later, I was in the surf again and it caught me on the right side of my ribs and my right armpit felt like I was hit by a baseball bat.

The pain Portugese MW's generate is immense!

I once found myself practically surrounded by a gazillion j-fish without getting stung. Of course, I was on the deck of the Battleship Texas at the time so....
