What I gigantic PITA. If I were an enterprising parts dept. Manager, I’d be sure to have plenty of those replacement panels in the various colors on the shelf. It takes no stretch of the imagination to see people breaking these because they are prying them off with a screwdriver and breaking off the tabs in the process. Wife’s Camry, same thing. Battery died in the driveway, and my truck was boxed in. Needed to get it into neutral so I could push it out a bit in order to get my truck out. Had to find a YouTube video for instructions while I was trying to get to work in the morning. Similar situation. Pry off a panel on the center console in order to get to the release.
