Heheh…. The 1960 MGA Roadster I drove during my college years in the ‘60s actually had wood floorboards.
The drivers side floorboard under my seat caught on fire once after the exhaust pipe had been jammed against it (unknowingly to me).
I had to piss on the hole where it had burned through, much to the amusement of my girlfriend.
(the half dozen Pearl longnecks previously consumed that afternoon helped considerably).
