That movie was great art, executed with maddening flaws. It tanked at the box office but the director's cut is still one of my favorites.

The key to understanding and appreciating it is simple. It's not about Baby Doll.

If you don't care about the art, it's got lovely women and lots of gunplay. How many young actresses get to wield a Lewis gun?

Definitely a visually stunning movie (at least the dream sequences). Plot-wise...yeah, seriously flawed. But damn it's watchable just on a visual level.
