I have the sign below on my front door because my "man cave" is upstairs and by the time I get downstairs the impatient shits have already left, not that I wanted to talk to them anyway. The sign solved the problem.

‘NO SOLICITING’.
I perceive the meaning of this as: “To seek for (something) by entreaty, earnest or respectful request, formal application, etc.: He solicited aid from the Doctor.”

I saw this message displayed at a Physician’s Reception Desk when was checking in for my first visit. I admonished the clerks for being so rude and asked, “How does this doctor got any new patients?”
