The official Earthquake drop???
Interesting fact tidbit. My Dad built Gibson Discount Centers in Texas, and other SW states in the 1960s and 70s. I was always intrigued by Mr. Gibson as he was at least 6'6" tall and "big". He made his money as a professional wrestler! Very nice guy and very, very well off.
Gibsons..wow, we're gettin' old.Interesting fact tidbit. My Dad built Gibson Discount Centers in Texas, and other SW states in the 1960s and 70s. Wouldn't we like to buy guns at the "years ago" prices!Gibson’s (in south Austin) is where I bought my first pistol. A Sterling Arms semiauto 380ACP (still have it & shoot it occasionally). Still have the box it came in too - with the Gibson’s price tag sticker on it!
Yep. I was smart enough to buy a Saiga but regret not grabbing the crates of SKS's.Wouldn't we like to buy guns at the "years ago" prices!
I DID buy Romy kits. Still tucked away. I need to get those out and get em done. I believe I have almost alll the tools etc. Prolly find some good help on here.I can still remember the $200-$300 AKs!
Everyone got afraid of doing build parties in Colorado after Mother Jones or some other liberal rag went to one to do an expose' on it... I've got a couple I need to finish, too. A Chinese type 56 clone build, a polish Beryl build in 5.56, and an AMD kit I wanted to build in 10mm (2xTM style to use drum mags)I DID buy Romy kits. Still tucked away. Getting old is better than the alternative!
Gibson's is one of the most popular stores in Kerrville. They've got a big selection of firearms and occasionally one can find a deal. And they still sell damn near everything! Wait, wait, they don't sell beer.
Hah! The one in Kerrville is thriving. There are several stores in Texas still going strong (West Texas). Don't know about the ones in New Mexico or Colorado, etc.
He likes it that way.Thought I read he was kneeling down.
