The trouble with a government trying to making a country fit the image some politician envisions, including ours right now. They have not figured out that people get in the way of the perfect image they have..
Isolationism would be bad for us, but I agree that we need to stop meddling in other people's affairs. Trade is the best way to form beneficial international relationships.we need to get away from the "keeper of the world" mentality and consider a little well managed isolationism (that is if the U.S. wants to survive in a manner in which most of us want)
This^^^^ Bomb the shit out of them or GTFO and let them kill each other. No more wasted American lives! And for anybody that doesn't remember Viet Nam, we didn't "win". I lost many classmates there for nothing! The problem is that if you fight a limited war, you can reach a point where you can *claim* victory and leave, but the other side at that point has a chance to come back after you have left. The US is too interested in being "politically correct" these days and fails to realize that the only way to win these types of wars is to kill every last one of the people who oppose them or at least to kill enough of them and prove that you are willing to exterminate the rest of them so that they will play nice from then on since they know that you're willing to do whatever it takes. This worked quite well with Japan since they are one of our stronger allies these days. When you have fanatical religious zealots, the only way that you can "reason" with them is when they are dead. Fighting limited warfare will just result in having to revisit the issue at some time in the future.

Civil war in Iraq was never a matter of "if" than it was "when"...
I guess "when" is now.
Our dictator in chief has spoken! In the end the Unites States of America is going to have to do what President Obama judges is in the interest of the Unites States of America
