This has not been posted for a while and it is really a great source of information.
Handgun Database - Search Handguns
You can look at great deal of information on power and concealability of your favorite handgun. I am always surprised at the comparison of recoil in similar weapons. I used it to look up the recoil on my collection. Most 9mm are in the 4-5 ft/lb range for a metal pistol to 5-7 ft/lb for a polymer full size.
One time someone talked me into shooting a .500 S&W revolver. Take a guess? 60 ft/lbs of recoil! Even a .50AE Desert Eagle is only 17 ft/lbs.
Be careful, a quick look usually ends up as a lost afternoon looking up everything under the sun. Have fun
