Because up until last August it was my edc for the better part of 12 years I trained with it in rain mud etc that's my baby tried and true
That 1911 looks better than any on here. Good honest wear shows that the gun has been used for the purpose for which it was designed.
If you're not going to sell it, ever, then the " slide never being pulled back" is kinda' meaningless, just saying. How are you sure it works OK?
About the left foot - maybe he was on a convoy. (isn’t he a trucker?)
I’m lovin the blued one. Maybe you’d consider a trade… that blued one for my mother-in-law?

Older picture that I posted somewhere on here before, but it still looks pretty much the same. My carry gun, S&W Performance Center Commander. I liked the G10 grips it came with, but they chaffed my side a bit, so I put Curly Koa wood grips on it.
Here are a few of mine.
Several years ago I got into collecting "pristine pinned and recessed" S&W Revolvers. Later on I decided it was no fun to have a great firearm and not be able to enjoy it. I sold all my "safe queens" and bought things I could shoot without guilt.
Everyone one of these 1911 toys has been fired and enjoyed. In fact the stainless pistol on the next to the bottom row has had over 35,000 rounds down the pipe. About four years ago I returned it to Springfield for a minor repair. While it was there I asked SA to evaluate the pistol's condition. The service manager called me and said the pistol had very little wear overall. He said the barrel had at least another 50,000 rounds before I would notice any lack of accuracy. I shoot lead bullets.

This is my Dan Wesson Silverback. She is a fire breathing 10mm. She is also my 357 Sig blaster.
Definitely a favorite.
These are my odd ducks. They're 45ACP in plastic fantastic (ATI FXH) and 3" double stack (RIA BBR 3.10) wearing Holosun 508T and 507k.

This gun belongs to my youngest son, who is a Captain in the Army. He is also an Airborne qualified Ranger so I had a set of custom grips made for him combining his Ranger Tab and Airborne Pin.
I recently sold this gun to a good friend who has made it his EDC. It is a Stainless Springfield Armory Target in 9mm.
