I went to the ranch Saturday......just outside Benavides in south texas.... the morning was nice and cool.... the afternoon was very warm and very windy..... no luck....

I got an 8pt. this morning the rest of him is in the cooler

2 days ago one of the hunters saw a 14pt I found a large active scrape not too far from where I shot my deer this morning.

I get to hunt next weekend as my other family obligations finally come to an end. I did managed to drop an aoudad and a few hogs when no one was looking.
