I think that’s here’s a gent looking to sell a bad-ass Kimber on this site. Didn’t really dig into previous posts here so excuse if I’m repeating.

I have the RIA, but as a double stack 2011.

Love that gun, but its all steel and weighs 3-1/2 pounds when fully loaded. Bull barrel with feed ramp, and 16+1 capacity.

Agreed. Mine has modifications but for the $$$ this is a damn nice 2011 style pistol.

Are the "Rocks" a decent 1911? Seems unlikely for the low price they charge. Just askin'!
After I found good 10mm ammo to get mine broke in, I have had zero issues. It still gets used more than all my other pistols combined.

If it wasn’t for Hornady Critical Duty ammo, I was almost ready to throw it away on the first range trip. Once I found good factory ammo and got it broke in, she became a sweet shooter. Now I mostly roll my own with 180 grn projectiles traveling about 1250 FPS.

My Ruger has been flawless almost 2000 rounds still tight no issues. I added red dot and heavy spring and firing pin stop help from launching brass so far.

Damn. How much does it weigh now? Does it still throw brass 150 yards?

    Haven’t weighed it with mods.

It still kicks them out but I did install
a flat bottom firing pin stop that seems to have helped a bit.

Somewhere I read to increase the mainspring to a heavier one but it’s so smooth with a 3# trigger that I don’t want to mess with it.

I had both the rock Island and delta elite. I enjoyed both but the colt was more accurate. Now is it up to your for about a $400 price difference which way you want to go
