Silverado 2500hd.Ouch. What make of truck?
1 of those laugh to keep from crying. $750 for the driveshaft, luckily my mechanic had a spare so I already dropped it and installed the new 1. Not sure what amazed me more. The aluminum driveshaft or the 4 bolts that contains all that torque. Things just aren’t made like they used to be.That's going to put a dent in your wallet!
Shitty way to start a Monday.
I'm assuming it dropped as you were backing up. If so it probably wasn't spinning fast enough to do an damage to other things. I have seen that happen and it can get real expensive real fast.1 of those laugh to keep from crying. $750 for the driveshaft, luckily my mechanic had a spare so I already dropped it and installed the new 1. Exactly, I said the same thing. Luckily I was barely moving so no extra damage. Thanks, I hope so as well.I'm assuming it dropped as you were backing up. If so it probably wasn't spinning fast enough to do an damage to other things. I have seen that happen and it can get real expensive real fast.
At least you got it fixed. Still a shitty way to start the week. Hopefully the rest of the week will be better!

Well, we are here to laugh or cry with you if you need it!Exactly, I said the same thing. Luckily I was barely moving so no extra damage. Thanks, I hope so as well.
Lol. I wish but it’s a slippery slope when you start tuning em. To much torque and then pop goes everything.Just get a few rolls of duck tape and you're good to go.
6.6 duramax. Nothing better than the smell of diesel in the morning to start the day.Got the 6.0?
Sucks about the drive shaft.
Wouldn’t surprise me if that was the case. Seems to be a rare occurrence these days to get something done properly. I’m sure the lead foot and 35s don’t help much either.Looks like it wasn’t welded properly. Most are friction welded now.
