    Helotes!
Yeah, I'm sure all those Southside gangbangers will jump at the change to receive a $50 HEB gift card for a "deserialized" gun they stole!

By the way, doesn't “Just drive in,” Courage said. “No one’s going to ask your name. No one’s going to ask where you got the weapon. No one’s going to ask where you live. Simple as that.” violate Biden's Bipartisan Safer Communities Act?!?

My question is, who is going to be smart enough to position themselves just outside this event offering cash to those bringing in guns worth more than $50-300?!?

I double dog dare them to open carry while doing so!!:evil::evil:

    From the article...

"The fourth-term councilman framed the event as a way for people concerned about their guns being stolen or used in a spur-of-the-moment violent incident to dispose of them without worrying about where they end up."

    Lol, wut?

…violate Cornyn’s Bipartisan Safer Communities Act?!?

As soon as the rule change is final it may, but I don’t think it will. Even if it does, DOJ is likely not to enforce though a creative strategy along with the right federal congress critter could make these things real awkward in the public’s eye.

I’m going to have to do some thinking on this one.

If they do it the way they say they are, why bother to see if it was used in a crime? No chain of evidence makes it vitually useless in court.

These things can be profitable if you have some old pipe you need to get rid of.

    Buy-Back

They are offering $200 for hand guns.
Going price for a High Point is $100, new! - Used, maybe like $50.
Home made guns will bring you $50, reminds me of my youth...

Or stand outside, buy nice guns. Can you imagine picking up someone's grandfather's 1911 for $250?
    Or a M1 Carbine for $325?

The people who tried that here in Houston were unceremoniously chased away by HPD.

    $300 for semi-auto rifles.

    Time to flip some Rossi's

Not even worth it for an HEB gift card.

Make some signs, bring some cash and stay on the public sidewalk and try to poach some good stuff.

Picked up a decent Glenfield .22 squirrel rifle this way.

The "buy back" bullshit is simply that.... bullshit.

It is nothing more than an opportunity for elected fools to demonstrate they were elected by fools.

Again remind me how it’s a buy back when the feds never sold me the gun to begin with. I’m confused. Do the feds have there backgrounds ram first to make sure they are a legal gun buyer before they buy any of these guns?
