Good Grief. There is ONE question out of sixty something that asks about gun ownership. Even the article asserts, "Although it’s not clear that gun ownership would disqualify a job applicant". Not clear? it is not even implied.

I didn't vote for the guy, but I am not going to make assumptions either.

Hoji, this response was not directed at you, but to the article. ;)

I read this the other day. I believe that would fall under discrimination, just not the kind you normally see. I think it's odd they ask you that question, it's really none of their business. I don't see why they would ask it if they weren't going to use it as an automatic rejection for employment.

Sounds more like a loaded personal responsibility question, or a means to reduce "skeletons in the closet" in their staff.

I'd be willing to bet there are a number of similar questions (may or may not include firearms) on Republican questionnaires.

Politicians will go at any length to reduce their drag.

The question, in and of itself, is suspect because of what we already know about Obama. The real test will be how they use this information. If handgun or "assault weapon" ownership is grounds for automatic disqualification, then I'd say this article is spot on.

I don't find that question terribly surprising given the politician in question nor am I even the slightest bit perturbed by it.
