Years ago there was an excellent 1911 gunsmith in the sugarland Texas area. His first name was Eddie I believe. He did some work for me but I have since lost all his information.
Does anyone happen to know who if he’s still around?

Eddie Jiminea. That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. I'm out of the loop now, but he worked on a gun for me about 15 years ago and did an excellent job. He was an older guy back then, I would be really surprised if he was still taking on work. He worked out of his home in Stafford.

Yep - that’s him! He did 1911 work and was excellent. Worked out of his home in Stafford.
Will have to look him up.
    Thank you so much!
