I'm looking for someone local to install a Badger Ordnance bolt knob on my Rem700 bolt. Any recommendations?

Thanks for the link. I was looking more for some garage gunsmiths, rather than some big company. I like giving my business to the small guys. But I'll get a quote from them anyway. :)

I've got the tools to do it myself, but I think I'd rather pay someone to take the liability :D

If I send my bolt to Badger, they do it for $98 (including the price of the knob) and ship it back to you.

If you want to keep it under $30, there is always this. Welcome to KRG

Not recommending it, just offering other options.

And alexrex20, MG Arms is a small company. They just happen to have a nice shop and produce some fine rifles. Mainly I think it's a guy and his wife that run it, you should stop by and meet them.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to count pennies here. I just like supporting small business. I will for sure check out MG Arms, once I order the knob. I saw the KRG bolt lift, but not a fan. I plan on ordering the newly released Mini knob from Badger.

Another option is to see if they will make the knob you desire for you. It's a pretty simple task for a machinist. Might lower the total cost to have a true custom knob made to your specifications.

I did it myself with a hacksaw, bastard file, threading die, JB weld and grinding wheel.

It sucked. I must have pounded away on that thing for 4 hours straight and I was afraid I'd mess the thing up somewhere along the way. It came out OK in the end though. Next time I'd rather send it off to a pro.

Hehe, just pay the $99 and let someone else stress over it.
