Jeeze, somebody take that poor thing out back and put it out of it's misery.

Which one of those things sticking out of it is the trigger?

I was thinking the "loop" is used to cock it.
The lowest item is an up/down slide safety, maybe covers the trigger, which would be the middle piece when slid up?

BIG bullet for the S & W 500. "Matts" bullets makes a 700 grain hard cast. that's right 700 not 70, 700. here's what it looks like next to a 9mm cartridge. just get'n ready if they clone a t-rex.

    Enjoy your broken wrist, lol.
Lots of us around here have shot those things, thanks to SugarLand. No broken wrists, yet, though I will admit it was the first handgun/load combo to ever leave me with a sore wrist the next day.

I've never read the instruction manual but I've been told by .500 S&W owners I trust that the official advice from the company is to limit shooting to a dozen rounds per day. With the 700-grain loads, I'd cut that number by half. At least.

Here's SugarLand dual-wielding his .460 S&W and his 500 S&W (with 700-grain bullets), both using heavy factory loads. He's more man than I'll ever be. :)

Went shooting with a workmate on the weekend.
    He brought these.

There was a Uberti Cattleman too, but it's not in the picture.
First time firing 45 Colt, and it was fun.
