Quite possibly the worst trigger known to man.......absolutely the worst for Colt.......but still fun to shoot..............

My brother got one for cheap a few years ago and still has it but won't shoot it again.

I tried to like it but the trigger is just so terrible. It's a shame really, the rest of the pistol isn't that bad.

    I actually like that trigger.

Browning Hi Power MK III military contract 9mm. Turned out nice. Great work on the sights by Justin McMillan. Gun is now at Alex Hamilton's shop getting a clean 5 lb trigger.

    typical military contract-marked slide

Justin re-contoured the sights, taking out the white dots and serrating the front and rear; nice touch

I've had Chuck Warner of Elite Warrior Armament build an Inglis High Power from parts supplied to him including a matching frame and slide; overhaul a former Israeli Police early 1950s FN High Power, and do a "Retro" MEUSOC overhaul of a 1st Generation Delta Elite.

Recently he posted on FB that he had several of the Custom P-35 Pistols that he had made in a limited run of 30. I contacted him and reserved Serial Number 00022. It was delivered to my local FFL last Saturday; and I went to pick it up. It came in a nice Nylon Pistol Bag with 3 fifteen round Mecgar magazines. The wait was well worth it! Chuck had the grip area made with enough "meat" to checker both the front and rear grip. I traded into this pistol; 4 guns for this one. No details but I'm a head of the game.

I stopped at a local Academy Sports Store and bought 150 rounds of ammo (unfortunately the "wrong" ammo) and went to the range to shoot it. I bought some Federal "Train and Protect" 115 grain JHP; it doesn't feed consistently or extract; but the "generic" 115 grain FMJ 9mm ammo I have works fine. When I talked to Chuck about this he recommends 147 grain ammo or heavy ammo for it. The recoil spring is 18# and the slide is heavier the the usual Hi-Power slide; its set up to shoot +P and +P+ ammo.

The gun is beautiful; accurate, and really feels great in the hand. I was able to fire 50 flawless FMJ rounds through it; the next day I went back to the range with some Speer Law Enforcement 147 gr. JHP. Perfect!

Pictures as they say or it didn't happen:

With all this gun grabbing talk going on, I need something to distract me and cheer me up. So, pictures of ALL of my handguns.

Pistols first. My RIA 1911 and Walther PK380 are my 'big' caliber pistols. Then, on the right, are all 22LR: GSG 1911-22, Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite, and Phoenix HP22A.

    Then my revolvers: Rossi M518 (22LR) and H&R 733 (32 s&w long).

Nice. I like the spider web design. I got the cool hand grips also but in the snake skins. The top one is my carry gun. The middle one used to be mine until my wife shot it then claimed it for herself. The bottom one is my daughters range gun.
