The M2 was supposed to fit in the same class as the SIG 229 and the S&W 6906.....before CCW was a widespread thing and the 239 & 3913 were considered tiny 9mms.....Wow that thing is huge!

About 10,000 of them made in the early 2000s, mostly in .40S&W and .357 Sig, but some also in .45ACP, America's caliber!
I had never seen one in person and somehow thought it was gonna be about the size of a Kel-Tec P11, LOL. Also weighs a ton (32.7 ounces/927 grams, tick over two pounds), loaded/unloaded almost doesn't make a difference. Been chasing THAT dragon since they first came out.

I got the Colt Government model in 380 from 1984 today. I need to get some extra mags now.
Never had a small 1911 before but this might suit the wife.
