Breaking news today is that Mission Chrysler/Jeep shut themselves down earlier today, throwing 150 folks outta work....but there's a LOT more.

Apparently, employee insurance/child support/retirement withholdings haven't made it to the respective "pay to" it should've gone to.

Apparently, many trade-ins have NOT had the original lien holders paid off.

Apparently, there's no way yet for those with vehicles in for repairs to get them out.

Apparently, those waiting on license plates.....are gonna still be waiting.

There's SO many bad things going on here, there's just no place to start. Bottom line - if you've bought a used vehicle from these folks, check to be SURE you've got a good title to it, because if it had a lien from a previous lender, they CAN come get it - and you're still gonna owe YOUR lienholder. If you traded a car in with a balance owing on it, check to be sure that it's been paid off - if not, start figuring out a plan to do so, because you are ultimately the one they're going to come after.

This is gonna get damned ugly....

We bought a new vehicle there a while back. Gave us better than book value for the trade-in, and discounted the new car by about $5K.

We did the math, and said to ourselves, these guys must be smoking dope.

    No loan or pay-off involved.

We are still happy with the deal.

Sadly, their business model does not work.

And that was years before the Chrysler Bail-Out.

Another Government Subsidized Enterprise hits the dust!

    Be well.

Well, Mr. Smart-Britches....The "apparently" comments were because it's based on early reports in the media. That doesn't necessarily make it factual.

Now, the fact that the Christmas present you WERE gonna get is now goin' into MY gun safe........

    THAT is a fact! anim_lolabove.jpg
