I spoke with a representative of Gary Gates this morning, who informed me that Gates is in favor of open carry.

This is one of those deals where Texas has an embarrassment of riches. It's a win-win for this district - both of these candidates are about as hard-core conservative as they get. What I wouldn't give to have either one of them representing me, rather than the loon we're stuck with.
