I 'rented' a table at one of the Ft. Worth gun shows 20 + years ago. At that time many of the tables were non-FFL vendors. In exchange for my $25, I got 2 vendor passes for the whole weekend and a chance to sell/trade a couple of guns. Sure there might have been cheaper ways to do it, but I also had enoughtime on-site to really scope out all the other tables.

As a comparison, I attended a show in Austin a month or so ago and was very disappointed. It was less that 1/4 the size of that Ft. Worth show. I was in and out in under an hour. I won't be going back.

I'm 22 and looking to purchase my first handgun; A Glock 19. I completed my CHL course 2 weekends ago.

I've been shopping around and these gun store's prices are ridiculous. I know guns/ammo/anything having to do with firearms are fisically bloated at the moment if you are lucky enough to even find them but...

Would I have a good chance at finding a NIB Glock 19 decently priced at the S.A. gun show? I've never been to a gun show before.

I doubt it, but you never know.

If you haven't, try Welcome to SportingArms.com, your source for discount firearms, ammo, and accessories. Brands such as Browning, Kimber, Remington, Sigarms, Colt, Winchester and more. They're in Lewisville (if you're in the DFW area) but everyone I've referred has been very happy with prices.

Every time I'm at Academy, I seem to find at least a couple Glocks. I bought my Glock at a gun show, but that was almost a year ago, and I've been afraid to go to a gun show since the election. I don't like wasting my time/money just to gape at overpriced guns.

I went to 7 Academy's on Saturday in & around San Antonio. No glock 19s. Just the .40's in stock.

Two gun stores I went to as well, both having glock 19s for $620-640.

I'll go that website route, thanks for the help.

At age 18 you can sign up for the military, but yet you can't buy a pistol until your 21, you can't drink until your 21, I believe all of those should be set at 18, if you can die for your country at 18 then you should be able to drink and buy a pistol at 18 also.

There's no reason they can't buy a pistol now. You don't have to buy from an FFL.

An old, tired and ineffective argument.
