Need some help trying to identify this particular revolver for a friend. ALL i know is its a S&W

looks like a 3rd. model double action, is there a caliber marked?

He said, there's no caliber marked on it. Serial #35XXX

I have to agree it looks like a 3rd model double action. 32sw caliber judging by size. Serial number places it before 1898
