Several states are considering Mandatory liability insurance for all gun owners. Now, the Feds are kicking the idea around.

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Lawmakers eager to reduce gun violence in their states are proposing mandatory liability insurance for American firearm owners as a new way to limit deaths and injuries."

Gun ownership is not like driving a car. One is a RIGHT, the other is a privilege. This is a tax to allow us to exercise a right. That's my "take" on it.

    What say you?

How the heck will Liability Insurance help limit Deaths and Injuries? It will just open a whole new can of worms for lawsuits and ambulance chasers.

I want full coverage insurance personally.

That means if my gun does something bad then I get a new one, right? And I can buy the old one at half value?

This has nothing to do with protecting gun owners, it's already been said: poll tax.

They will claim the money will go in to a fund for victims of gun crime(but it won't, it will just be spent).

What it really does is say that law abiding gun owners are responsible for the actions of felons and murderers and should pay for the actions of criminals.

Later I guarantee some liberal will say " we know they are the problem, that's why we make them buy insurance. We need to get rid of the guns all together. Their money isn't saving anyone's life, we have to stop "them". "

There is always more to it than they will ever admit. This is just one more inch they are trying to take in the quest for their ultimate goal.

There doesn't seem to be a limit to the insane proposals those fools come up with and please note.....not ONE of their ideas have one damned thing to do with the criminal who does the violent crime!
