Mine looks at me, barks, then runs to what she wants.

Yesterday it was the door, and leaving no doubt NOW!
    Wasn't what I thought.

Was off her feed the day before.
She headed out to the lawn, started frantically grazing on new grass sprouts like a cow, then laid in the sun for some vitamin D.

20 minutes later came back wanting in.

She was fine last night, ate good, and again this morning.
They know exactly what they need, if you listen.

My pooch tries to talk to me. It actually sounds like talking. Weird. But she won't stop until I do what she wants.

There he is. He had been preening on my head and chewing on his balsa wood.

BTW, when I say he drinks from a glass, I don't mean he sticks his head in the glass. He drinks from the edge like a people.

    My daughter and her bunny.
    Spoiled.
Gets his nails done, naps on the cough. Snacks. Loves to be held.

Great looking bird. How old is he? Hand raised from hatchling?

He just turned 5 last month.

He was hand raised. The breeder pulls the egg(s) from the nest box and incubates them. Lisa Sweet is a first class operation. She never forces the birds to breed, keeps them in outdoor aviaries, and treats them like her children.

Who takes the bird when you kick off in 20 or 30 years?;)

I always said if I ever got an animal that would outlive me by a generation or two that I would add care of that animal as a stipulation to my will so that any beneficiary to my estate would have the motivation to care for it.

My parents had an african grey. Kick ass bird. Named Gizmo.

When he wasn't saying "shit" he would do a bombing run where he'd recite a bombing run over Tokyo.

    "Tokyo in sight, sir

    Alright bombrediear, your show

    Open bomb bay doors

    Bombs away!

He'd then do this whistling noise with a cluck at the end to simulate a bomb falling

    Tokyo destroyed sir!"

He'd also scream at me when i gave him water because i accidentally got his claw caught in the cage door one time

Already told the story about the AG, while hidden on the upstairs balcony, wolf whistled at all the neighborhood trophy wives (and some not so trophy) walking down the sidewalk, while I was highly visible sitting on the front porch below.

    Still getting dirty looks ...

That's exactly what we're goingto do.
