Just in case he can't get set right in the prone position.

It is usually set up next to the benched, but can be shot from the bench also.

I recommend better than average ear pro if shot under the awning, it bounces the concussion back pretty hard. Maybe we can pull a bench out to the side so as not to jack with other shooters so much.

For myself and others of, um, generous proportions, prone can be challenging to impossible. A bench would be a lot more forgoing.
