    الحمد لله not Alhamdulillah

    Actually that does say Alhamdulillah. I can read Arabic, ya know... Alif, Laam, ha, meem, thaal, for the first part, spelling "Al-Hamd" reading left to right, and then laam, laam, meem, spelling, "Lillah". The pesh on top of the thaal is implied, even though it's not there, spelling Al-ham-tho-lil-lah.
