HK Refinish

Does anyone have a smith in central Texas they recommend to do a hard chrome refinish on the slide of an HK Expert?

Sorry, I personally don't know anyone in Texas that does hard chroming now that Tripp Research in Alpine quit doing pistols, etc. But I would highly recommend http://www.mahovskysmetalife.com/ in Michigan. I sent my P7 there in June to be hardchromed and they did an excellent job and had it back in very short order (19 days back to my door). They did my whole gun but they do just slides also. Call them and talk to Ron Mahovsky (owner) about turn-around times. You may have to leave a message as he is involved with the actual process. He was very nice to talk to. Just my $.02

Tripp Research did it - but he no longer does hard chrome.
