I can’t do “appendix carry” except with the “anti-carjacking” cross-draw models, which ride a bit higher relative to the beltline.

Semiauto I like JM custom Kydex and muddy river tactical with a claw and foam wedge.
For a revolver I definitely prefer leather.

That's why mine points at my femoral artery instead. IF it goes off, I will at least die knowing I didn't accidentally neuter myself. IF my dick & balls get cut off its my chioce, damnit Its also why I like double action guns, or those with a mechanical manual safety too. But I also look when I reholster. Anyone can go full Tex Grebner if you get too complacent.

Tier 1 Concealment or Keepers' Concealment is the only way to go. Kydex with a foam pad and the Tier 1 has a wing as well. I tried other brands because I thought those 2 were too expensive but I am at the point I won't carry anything else.

for IWB I prefer a quality leather holster. Galco or 1791 are decent.

100% do not appendix carry (a modern handgun) with leather. The leather WILL deform over time and could possibly pull the trigger. I started with 2 hybrid holsters and I see the deformation and will never carry leather again.

I have a trex arms sidecar 2.0 now and it’s a good setup. I’ll be getting a tenicor next.

Depending on the make and model you are planning to carry, Tenicor makes a great appendix holster. I’ve also had good luck with Dara holsters, although I don’t own an appendix version of theirs…
