Been Called "Flash" Since I Was A Kid!
I read back a number of pages in this thread and came to a realization. I've been single since 1975 and have had many women waltz in and out of my life. I have had TWO dogs. It occurred to me that I did that exactly backwards!
No woman has ever loved me like my little dog has. I never knew what "unconditional love" was about until I got Jake. I stay the Hell away from women now, so Jake and I have a great thing going! Add a Harley, rifles, pistols and shotguns, my life is complete and there's no friggin' drama!
It reminds me of the time I went to a motorcycle shop and was looking over the new models. A young kid walked up, told me how much he wanted a motorcycle but that his Mom said they were dangerous. Without a moment of hesitation, I replied "Tell your Mom that you met a man who said that motorcycles are great! WOMEN are dangerous!"
