    I was thinking, scary I know....I was thinking that it'd be cool to make my own kydex bodies for the MTAC.
    Has anyone tried this or know of anyone who has given it a shot?
    Also, where can you find kydex in Dallas or what types of places can you look for it at?

    Knifekits.com (I think?) has the kydex. Lots of info on the net for building holsters and mag carriers; just gotta do a little searching. Using a thread on BrianEnos.com about "kitchen kydex mag holders" I have come up with some very good mag holders for XD mags and 1911 mags. Holster is next.

    I have done this many times. I used ABS which is cheaper and easier to mold than kydex, but retains most of the same structural properties. Here's some of my work:
