    While not illegal to make your own gun it's not always safe. Zip guns are defined by texas law and illegal.
    But IR raises a good idea. How do you make a safe legal gun? Can you proof fire it safe enough to trust it?

    How many things have we made ourselves for pennies that would cost us hundreds at the store?

    Under federal law, you can make firearms for your own use.
    Look at barrel and overall length. Also this looks to be a 12 guage and I doubt the AG has approved it "for sporting purposes". Of course the guy could have a form 1. Or be Canadian.
