Kinda looks to me like Gov. Abbott should call a special session for some odd reason, creating an opportunity to elect a new Speaker before the 2020 election, but that's not a perfect option either.

With Bonnen out of the speakership and House by the next session whatever allows the Democrats the least advantage, even if it's that this scandal and Bonnen just fade away, is probably best for us.
