How do I go about this legally? I want to setup my own gun buyback program. What are the potential risks for personally buying that many guns? My intent would be to keep most of what I bought.

Any tips for what and what not to say in my advertising?

Better to wait till a civic group starts a buyback program, take in a broken gun or two and buy from those standing in line for the vouchers... You are there to get rid of an item or two and happen to help out some others.

Ya that's what I figured, but I don't want to wait until someone sets one up in Houston... if ever.

Let me know & I will go in with you.

Only problem I see is whether you would be obligated to buy "junk" guns being brought by people, lol....

Actually, I can forsee other problems too, but......

Wouldn't the possible reception of stolen property be a risk? I am not sure if the civic organizations have a free pass from the DA's office since they are handing them over and not trying to profit.

I would set it up for $50+ in buyback credit, that way I could buy junk guns for $50 and Colt Pythons for $200. It'll all work out in the end. :D

I could host it on company property and hire security if needed.

I read in an article a few weeks ago that a Phoenix AZ buyback had people turning in a 4in blued Colt Python for $100. the author of the article even offered $500 and the person wouldn't sell it.

Guys its not possible for the following reasons
    1. We are not liberals
    2. We cannot stand on the graves of children to buy sympathy
    3. We cannot convince people to give up liberty for security
    4. we are not ANTI 2A
    5. most people hunt in texas so they need guns. Otherwise why would anyone need a gun

lots of things on my mind which I want to vent out but only these I can think now
