Ok guys, I would love to see a Houston BBQ & Shoot.
    Pot-Luck style

Just don't know where to do it or when.

Thinking the 9th or 23rd of January.

    Next is where?

My place is too muddy this time of year, any suggestions?

Some place that allows FMJ rifle and magnum rifle

We need to find a range like Elm in Dallas or Lone Star in Lockhart. So far, Carter's Country in Spring is the closest thing. Shiloh, a forum sponsor, is a great indoor range, but I think we need something outdoor.

I only know of 5 outdoor ranges in the area
    3 are member only
1 I will not waste the fuel to drive by
1 I know nothing about other than its location
--> The one in George Bush Park on the west side

American Shooting Center in George Bush Park, is both large enough to accommodate a gaggle of shooters. Plus 7yd pistol to 300 yd, (allows .50 BMG)

I can't think of any better place that offers such a wide variety of challenges.

It is about 45 min for me as well. Not sure how far it is from you though. I am still realizing how big of a city Houston is.

I would love to go out there and meet you guys, but my job requires that I work every Saturday.

(It's OK, I'm off every Monday)

Maybe we can do another meet on a Sunday some time.

First meet, was some good cold fun. Thanks to Thor for helping me out with my scope issues, good to meet his father as well. Got to meet 308Nato, and DCortez and family also. Good people. A cold day of shooting is better than a day with no shooting at all. The Crew at American Shooting centers were great as well, the gunsmith even gave me a deal for bore-sighting and remounting my scope for me.
